Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects attention, activity level, and impulse control. It usually begins in childhood and can influence learning, behavior, and daily functioning at home and school.

ADHD is not caused by poor parenting, lack of effort, or low intelligence. It reflects differences in how the brain develops and manages attention, organization, and self-regulation.

If these behaviors regularly interfere with a child’s development or daily life, a professional developmental assessment can help provide understanding and support.
