Classroom Routines & Structure

At MLP, structured routines support emotional security and focused learning.

Our classroom structure includes:

  • Clear daily schedules
  • Predictable transitions between activities
  • Balanced academic and developmental blocks
  • Guided small-group instruction and on a one-on-one basis
  • Visual and verbal cues to support attention
  • Consistent expectations and boundaries

At MLP, structured classroom routines form the foundation of our special education program in Phnom Penh. Predictability helps children feel secure, reduces anxiety, and strengthens attention and independence. Each day follows a clear schedule that balances academic learning, developmental activities, communication practice, and guided play. Teachers use visual supports, verbal cues, and consistent transitions to help children understand expectations and participate confidently. This structured environment allows children with developmental and learning differences to build focus, self-regulation, and meaningful classroom participation.
